Corsages available at Parkgate

Your School Ball or Prom, is a formal occasion that is made complete with a corsage and boutonniere.

A corsage is a small arrangement of flowers worn on a woman’s dress or worn around her wrist for the occasion. The corsage is traditionally purchased by the woman’s date. A boutonnière is the French word for “buttonhole” and usually worn by the male. At Parkgate we do several corsages every season and if required we can do both corsage and boutonnière for your special night.

Below are some tips you can use as a guide.

  1. Colour  When purchasing a corsage, its best to find out the colour that your partner is going to be wearing. That way you can decide if you want to go with a high contrast corsage piece or a corsage that matches in colour. If you are unsure we recommend you choose one of our classic corsage pieces that are designed to go with anything.

  2. Corsage flowers  Most corsages contain small roses, orchids, greenery and ribbon with small diamond-like pieces to add that shine. If you want to have something really different take a look at this one-off corsage we designed.

  3. Pre-order  Corsages take time to assemble as a lot of trimming and wiring is required to keep the corsage looking pristine for the entire school ball evening. So ensure you order a couple of days in advance.

  4. Place your wrist corsage in a relatively cool area of your house - away from direct sunlight prior to the evening. You can place in a chilly bin too.
